Will Always Be Number Five...Forever Mine

We were at Philmont this past week in New Mexico.  Scouter Paradise.  We met lots of new people.
We would talk about our families.  They would ask me about my 6 kids.  I didn't know whether to just skip Bryce and hope they didn't count ( which no one really does) or to include him in the head count.  Yeah,  the next one is Bryce.   He died in a car accident after his mission.  Then we have Dallin....  Boy, it was hard.  I felt him close a lot.  I hope he doesn't mind that I told everyone that he died.  He is still part of our family.  Always will be no matter how old we get.

Today we cleaned our boarding real good.  then Veeway (rich dude) took me, shipp, Parsons and Tau to lunch at Green Acres.  We ate at the Davinci.  I got a T-bone steak with chips for $48 rand.  It was bad...I make steak way better.  Today I have been away from home for 100 days with 632ish left...it's a long time.  I wonder when it won't seem like the end is forever away.  I am getting excited for transfers but I am a little scared too.  I hope I have a dream with snow tonight.

  1. When I read this post title, the first thought that came to my mind is "#5 is alive!" Kind of appropriate now that I think about it, but it made me laugh :)
